Taking a Look at the Stamina 55-1610 InMotion E1000 Elliptical Trainer
Gyms have it easy when it comes to space for all of their equipment. They have the room for several different types of machines that members can use at any time. The home gym is not so lucky. Even if you have an extra room dedicated just for your exercise equipment, you are generally limited to one or two machines. Elliptical trainers are the big thing right now because of the great workout they give but even the most compact ones have a large footprint, both in and out of and storage. That is not so with the Stamina 55-1610 InMotion E1000 Elliptical Trainer.
The very first thing that stands out about the Stamina 55-1610 InMotion E1000 is that it is nothing more than pedals that rotate. There are no upper body poles to help keep your balance and work your upper body. The computer is situated between the foot pedals. It is a very small, compact trainer unlike most that you have ever seen or used.
If you are new to using elliptical trainers, then learning to use this one is going to require some dedication on your part. Since there is nothing to grab to help balance yourself, you may be better off placing it in a doorway and using the doorjamb to help provide the balance you need while learning the stride. If you are used to using such trainers with poles to provide an upper body workout, then you may find this one to be a waste of time. It will give you a great cardiovascular workout but it is not going to give you the upper body workout you would get with more traditional elliptical trainers. It also has a shortened stride so you may not get that reach you are accustomed too.
The obvious benefit of the Stamina E1000 is that it is incredibly compact. If you are short on storage space, then you can easily fit this product in a closet or under your desk. An even better selling point is the price. You can easily find one for less than $100.
If you can master the stride on the Stamina 55-1610 InMotion E1000, then you can master any elliptical trainer on the market or in your local gym. You may even find that the lack of stride bars helps force you to learn balance and the proper motion for using this one. It is a great starter and at this cannot beat it.
